Long time since my last update, ne? I've been rather preoccupied with things, namely school and costuming. It also doesn't help that my compy has once again had to go in for revamping. This time it's just the power jack that is screwed up, so it isn't that big of a deal. But it should be back to running smoothly within the next couple days. And holy crap am I behind because of it. x____x I had hoped to have the first issue of Shift finished by this point, but I only have six pages out of twenty because of the problem. I am tempted to start doing it on regular paper and just reworking the panels later. Ugh, but at the same time, my scanner is crap. -eyeroll- Anyway, I also have a bunch of requests/commissions to finish when the thing is fixed, on top of updates for all of my fanfics. -sighs- But, of course that all has to wait until after finals are finished. I am going to miss kickboxing! T^T

In the meantime, I have been working on my newest cosplay goal, and I am actually very impressed with it thus far. I'll post up some progress pics once I get the sword finished. Okami Amateratsu from the game Okami is the costume, and before you go making fur cracks, it's a human version of her. -sticks out tongue- My Reflector, Solar Flare, is finished finally. The paint job actually turned out better than I had thought considering that I am working with a color that wasn't what I had originally wanted. To say that I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome is an understatement. Next is the sword, Thunder Edge. Yeah, that's right I am making the ultimate weapons for her, but I am not sure if I should attempt Tundra Beads or even what I should do with them. I am half tempted to make them out of wood and to make them into a wrist accessory. Opinions? I can't make them into a necklace because I will have a huge red scarf covering my neck. Well... I could make them super long so that they hang below the scarf...Hnn.

Also, I've gotten another commission for a set of wings! Yay! -dances- It's a big set of black ones and they are about halfway finished. I need to have them finished before Ohayocon in January, which isn't too bad. It shouldn't take very long for me to finish them since mum has offered to help me with sewing the feathers. I've shied away from the fabric glue because it tends to make the wings sticky and they aren't as con-safe. I don't want feathers to be falling off all the time. I am estimating that this pair will be about eight feet or so by the time they are finished. That means I have to re-enforce the harness to keep them balanced. Also because I'll be using thread, they will be very very light compared to the other large sets I've made. <3

Speaking of wings, it's a go for Acen. I'll be selling Rave style wings there that have about a foot or so wingspan so that they aren't being mutilated in the rave. They will be multicolored and will glow under black lights. I am also looking into LEDs to string in them. I'm thinking they will run anywhere from $35 to $40 per pair depending. I want the price reasonable. Also, because I've been practicing, I'll be selling a bunch of ears and tails too. ^_^ I'm turning into some sort of crafting smith or something! Next goal in the line of learning things is chain mail! -cackles-

As for how I've been doing lately, I have to say I've been absolutely elated. I mean, I don't think I've been this happy nor content in a very long while, despite the fact I am slipping into computer withdrawal. Thanksgiving break is most likely the cause of said elation. It was highly enjoyable due to the wonderful food (mmmm Peanut Butter Pie), the fact that we have a good number of family over goofing off, and of course, the presence of one of my best friends evar! 8D Whom I am going to shoot later for getting me hooked on Code Gey-Ass. x________x I told him not to show it to me. But did he listen? Nooooo. And can I get a hold of the rest of it right now? Noooo. And am I suffering from a classic case of: OMFG I NEED MOAR NOW? Yeeees. TT_TT Meanie.

Man this is a long one, eh? I think I'll give your eyes a break then. Hope to see y'all in January!
