" Master!" Came the bell like voice of his faithful servent. The blue haired deity did not respond, but his normally expressionless visage morphed ever so slightly. A soft smile curved his lips as she approached, her bare feet daintily stepping around the growing puddles. " Master, I brought you an umbrella!"

His endless eyes opened and he turned his head slightly to look up at the slight girl from his place on the stone steps of his temple. She was such a good girl. Timidly the brunette held a large white umbrella over his now soaked form. The Ascended stared at the girl for a moment, taking in her delicate features. She was worried.

" Thankyou, Elise." He murmured softly, his smile growing slightly as her cheeks flushed and her dark eyes lit up happily. " But...I do not need it." The girl bit her lower lip and toyed with the handle of the umbrella.

" But, you'll catch cold." She mumbled meekly. Rather then respond, the man grasped her free wrist and gave a light tug that caused the sixteen year old to fall gracelessly into his lap. Elise let out a soft squeak, the umbrella falling from her grip and clattering to the wet stone. Her face had turned bright red and she sat tense within the tall man's lap, confused and a bit frightened. After all, this was The Ascended of Water, one of the most powerful men alive. He let out a soft chuckle and his arms went around her gently to pulled her back against his bare chest. When she heard his gentle laugh her eyes widened in surprise and she felt an odd fluttering in her chest.

"Sit with me for a little while?" He asked, much to the girl's shock. She was a servent, not someone who was asked to do things. Elise had been with her master for years and had never seen him act in such a way. She nodded dumbly and felt his hug her a bit tighter. After a while she relaxed more, allowing herself to lean into him and even though the pouring rain was cold, she felt surprisingly warm.

" Master, why do you like the rain so much?" She asked softly, looking up at him curiously. The deity titled his head back so that the cold liquid fell directly onto his face.

" Because...when I am in it like this...I feel almost clean." He murmured in response. The servent pondered his answer thoughtfully, knowing all too well that her Master was often forced into horrible situations, situations which often required him to do things that were terrible in nature.

" Tears can do the same thing..." She stated after a moment, catching the Water god offguard. He looked down at her in surprise, his ice blue gaze wide. After a moment he recovered and a soft smile curved his lips, that is until the burning in his soul overtook him. The long haired man buried his face in the teenager's hair as for the first time since his rebirth, he cried.
